The menus below appear only during some phases of the game.
1) Discard
When the Taker must make his Discard, this special menu allows him to choose between the following options:
• Try again
All the cards currently in the Discard are put back into the hand of the Taker, and he may start again its Discard.
• Help
The Discard chosen by the computer is immediately displayed, the user being free to accept it or to modify it.
• Slam
According to the FFT rules, the Taker has the possibility to declare a Slam after having made his Discard. A confirmation is requested from the player: one is never too careful !
• Finish
Same as the FINISH button, active only when 6 cards are discarded.
2) Card
This menu is present each time when a player must play a card.
• Try again
The played but not confirmed card is put back into the hand of the player who may select another one.
• Help
The card chosen by the computer is played, the player is then free to confirm this choice or to play another card.
• Confirm
Same as clicking on the played card.
3) Tournament
This menu is present each time when a game of a tournament is finished. It allows to start the next deal according to some options:
• Random next deal
The next game starts with a random deal.
• Play Editor deal
The next game starts with the deal created using the editor. This option is active only if a deal was actually prepared in the editor.
• Open next deal
The user may choose a previously saved deal which will be used for the next game.
• Replay last deal
After confirmation, the score of the deal which has just be played is canceled and this deal is replayed.
Note that in the case of a deal prepared or loaded, the dealer’s position is not modified and remains the player on the right-hand side of the preceding dealer.
In the case of a duplicate tournament, the prepared or loaded deal may not give the best hand in South, the position of the Taker (random deals will be always like that). In this case, you will have the possibility to modify the deal. The computer will do this by an adequate rotation of the hands. The dealer and thus the opening player will be also modified consequently. You can choose to not modify anything, but in this case the Taker in Southern position will experience boring evenings!
