1) Sort
At anytime, the order of cards and colors can be modified with this option.
2) Confidentiality
This option allows, if several human players play the same game the ones against the others on a same machine, to prevent these players from seeing another hand than theirs... Each time when only one player must look at the screen, an alert is displayed indicating which player is concerned.
d) Restrictions
This option, once selected at the beginning of a deal, prohibits any help (bid, discard, card play), to undo the last trick, to replay the last game, the display of the game in progress, of the deal and the statistics, and that during all the play of the current deal. Only the display of the last trick is indeed authorized in FFT rules.
e) Sounds
Sound effects
If your concentration would suffer from the various sound effects which punctuate the phases of the game, do not hesitate to use this option to obtain silence...
Card sound
The play of a card will be or will not be accompanied by an adequate sound.
f) Deal editor
This editor allows to prepare deals which can be saved on disk and be played as any deals.
Once in the editor, a new menu bar is displayed. The lower part of the screen displays the hands of the players while the higher part shows the cards still available in such or such color. In the middle of the screen, a summary of the deal is displayed and buttons allow to easily change displayed hand and color.
Note that when a hand is complete (18 cards), the computer indicates beside the names in the summary the bid which it would make: T Take, G Guard, W Guard Without and A Guard Against.
To start a new deal, you just have to select NEW DEAL in the FILE menu.
In the OPTIONS menu, it is possible to distribute randomly the remaining cards, to clear the hand of the selected player, to rotate the position of the hands and to choose the dealer.
To return to the game, select BACK TO GAME in the FILE menu. If a deal in the editor is ready to be played, the option PLAY EDITOR DEAL will be active in the TOURNAMENT menu and in the options dialog of the 1st game.
